What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Success Strategist, Alpha - $150,000/year USD position at Crossover?
You hold the view that the most compassionate act for a student is to maintain rigorous standards. Your résumé reflects achievement in domains most people only observe from a distance: elite-level competition, academic distinction at a top university, acceptance into a highly selective firm, or a venture launched and built independently. Now consider channeling that discipline into a classroom of K-12 learners who have never encountered someone like you—someone committed to expectations they haven't yet imagined for themselves. If the idea of holding students to elite benchmarks feels unforgiving, this role isn't for you.
Alpha employs AI-driven 1-on-1 instruction, enabling students to complete core academics in roughly two hours each day. The remaining time is allocated to life skills, self-directed projects, and meaningful development. At Alpha's most demanding campuses, students require more than oversight. They need a credible mentor whose own track record establishes the standard: someone capable of reading group dynamics, shaping culture, and guiding learners through resistance, distraction, and uncertainty.
Your role is not instructional. AI manages academic content delivery. Your focus is motivation, coaching, and maintaining the same exacting standards you've applied to your own work. Forty percent of your time is spent in direct 1-on-1 and small-group sessions that identify obstacles and establish ambitious targets. Another forty percent involves facilitating structured life-skills workshops designed for mastery rather than engagement alone. The final twenty percent is dedicated to morning kickoffs that set a tone where mediocrity has no place.
The trajectory emphasizes depth over advancement. You begin by mastering Alpha's methodology and earning student trust. Within months, you become the person they allow to push them beyond perceived limits. The payoff isn't a title change. It's continuity: the same students, year over year, maturing with you as their constant. It's witnessing a student who avoided eye contact in September deliver a confident presentation to adults in May.
This position remains student-centered. Students are the objective, not a means to something else. If your motivation to leave your current role is mission-driven rather than résumé-driven, submit your application now.
