Alpha students don't experience traditional lectures. Instead, they advance through academic content using AI-driven adaptive software at their individual pace, frequently mastering an entire grade level within weeks. Your role encompasses everything beyond the software's capability: guiding students through challenges, teaching them to provide constructive feedback, raising their standards beyond what they thought possible, and cultivating their enthusiasm for showing up every day. You'll facilitate interactive life skills workshops covering public speaking, concentration, and time management, followed by motivation sessions designed to build authentic engagement rather than mere compliance.
This environment differs fundamentally from conventional classrooms. You'll support a manageable cohort of K-12 students who know you personally. Using Coachbot analytics, you'll monitor their advancement, identify when someone encounters obstacles, and guide them toward self-sufficiency. When your entire cohort achieves their weekly targets and 90% provide positive feedback on evaluations, you'll have tangible proof that your execution drives the model's success.
Guides who excel with their cohorts advance to Lead Guide positions—mentoring fellow Guides and influencing campus-wide delivery of Alpha's mission. As Alpha expands to new locations, today's practitioners of excellence become tomorrow's architects of scale. If education hasn't been on your career radar but you believe you could alter a young person's path, this is where that conviction becomes your profession. Submit your application today.
What You Will Be Doing
- Facilitating one-hour life skills workshops for K-12 students addressing subjects including public speaking, concentration, and feedback delivery: interactive, project-driven sessions where you engage dynamically rather than lecture passively
- Supporting a dedicated student cohort daily through Coachbot analytics and individual student profiles to establish personalized objectives, monitor application progress, and challenge every student to advance
- Creating and administering mastery-based evaluations (Test2Pass) that confirm genuine skill acquisition rather than passive attendance
- Building relationships with students as unique individuals: discovering their passions, identifying what drives each one, and tailoring your coaching methods to match
- Maintaining rigorous performance standards: 100% cohort achievement of weekly objectives, 90% positive ratings on student feedback surveys
- Instructing traditional academic subjects. Students progress through mathematics, literacy, and science via adaptive applications. You won't be positioned at a whiteboard demonstrating arithmetic algorithms.
- Developing curriculum materials independently. Alpha supplies life skills content and implementation guides. Your responsibility is execution and delivery, not creation from the ground up.
- Evaluating assignments, conducting parent-teacher meetings, or overseeing standardized examinations. No report card completion or state assessment preparation is involved.
- Supervising students passively while they use computers. When students encounter difficulty, you coach them toward self-resolution. Passive observation contradicts this position's purpose.
- Compromising expectations when students resist. The motivational framework depends on upholding elevated standards, not accommodating discomfort with exceptions.
Guide a cohort of K-12 students who develop enthusiasm for learning, accelerate their progress through adaptive technology, and build life skills via dynamic workshops.

- Authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
- Background as a sports coach, theater director, debate instructor, or camp program coordinator where you inspired children toward excellence, not merely participation
- Demonstrated history of significant personal achievement (scholastic, athletic, or career-related) that establishes credibility with students and families
