What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Learning Experience Manager, Alpha - $200,000/year USD position at Crossover?
- In-person locations: Beverly Hills, CA; La Jolla (San Diego), CA; Piedmont, CA; South Bay (LA), CA; Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Miami Beach, FL; Chicago, IL; Boston, MA; Bethesda, MD; Raleigh, NC; New York City, NY (relocation assistance available)
- $200,000 annual salary, paid weekly | Health, dental, and vision coverage from day one
Students at Alpha don't passively absorb lectures. They advance through adaptive applications at double the speed of conventional classrooms while simultaneously developing practical life competencies. Your responsibility is ensuring three core commitments are met for every student in your cohort: they develop a genuine love for school, they learn twice as fast, and they acquire skills no traditional textbook provides. You will also mentor the Guides responsible for delivering these same outcomes throughout your campus.
Data informs every choice and all work happens in person. You divide your time between your personal student cohort and the Guides under your leadership — with identical expectations for both: documented advancement, without compromise. When a Guide's session underperforms, you don't file documentation; you observe directly, conduct a debrief, and resolve it within hours.
You will witness reserved children presenting with poise to adults. You will see students who previously "despised school" requesting to remain after hours. And you will recognize that the standard you maintained is precisely what enabled their success, because upholding high expectations demonstrates belief in someone's capacity to meet them.
You may be initiating an entirely new campus from the ground up, establishing the foundational culture that will shape the institution. As the campus grows, your emphasis transitions from operational startup mode to coaching leadership, cultivating the team that expands Alpha's methodology across your territory.
If this appeals to you, submit your application today.
What You Will Be Doing
- Facilitating one-hour live workshops on life skills and social-emotional learning (SEL) with K-8 students covering subjects such as public speaking and focus, adhering to Alpha's structured framework
- Conducting daily motivation sessions designed to drive 100% of students toward their weekly app-based goals utilizing age-appropriate incentives including school currency and leaderboards
- Developing Guides through direct observation, focused feedback, and practical training so they execute workshops with equivalent energy and accuracy
- Analyzing Coachbot data and student profiles to pinpoint students requiring intervention, then providing direct support
- Directly mentoring your assigned cohort of students, demonstrating the coaching and motivational techniques you require from all Guides
- Creating lesson plans or developing curriculum. Students progress through adaptive applications; your focus is making the people surrounding them exceptional.
- Delivering traditional lectures. You function as 80% entertainer, 20% content expert; if standing at a whiteboard appeals to you, this role is not suitable.
- Compromising standards due to parental or administrative pressure. When a student achieves 99%, the response is "not yet" — and you will receive full support to maintain that standard.
- Spending time in an office managing paperwork. The majority of your day involves direct interaction with students and Guides.
- Waiting extended periods for performance evaluations. Results appear live in Coachbot and adjustments occur immediately.
Execute Alpha's 3 Promises throughout your cohort and among the Guides under your supervision: every student loves school, learns at double pace, and develops genuine life skills.
