At Alpha, this isn't up for discussion. It's the daily standard. Students engage with academic content through self-directed applications rather than traditional instruction from an adult. This structure allows you to focus on what truly transforms outcomes: facilitating high-energy sessions on public speaking, concentration, and constructive feedback. You'll use live analytics to motivate students toward complete goal attainment. You'll also coach the Guides who work with you. Your primary resources are data, an established playbook, and the kind of leadership presence that captures the attention of twelve-year-olds rather than losing it.

A typical day might begin with individual coaching for a Guide, analyzing Coachbot data to pinpoint where a cohort is underperforming. By midday you're facilitating a live student workshop, executing a playbook exercise on feedback dynamics. Afternoons often involve motivation work: one-on-one student engagement, understanding individual drivers, and leveraging Alpha's incentive structure (campus currency, performance leaderboards) to re-engage a reluctant 7th grader. You maintain direct ownership of a cohort, keeping your skills aligned with what you're teaching others to master.

Three outcomes define your accountability: students love attending school, they advance at double the rate of conventional classrooms, and they develop authentic life competencies. You'll coach other Guides immediately upon starting. As your results scale, your authority over campus-wide program standards expands.

What You Will Be Doing

• Facilitating one-hour live sessions on essential life skills (public speaking, concentration, feedback exchange) for students K-8, following Alpha's established playbook
• Conducting motivation sessions leveraging Coachbot analytics and Alpha's incentive framework (campus currency, leaderboards) to achieve 100% student goal attainment
• Coaching Guides on adherence to program standards and fidelity, ensuring every session yields concrete improvement actions
• Managing your own student cohort while simultaneously developing other Guides
• Monitoring student satisfaction metrics, goal completion percentages, and Guide performance indicators
  
  

What You Won’t Be Doing

• Teaching or tutoring academic subjects through lectures. Academic learning happens through applications.
• Creating curriculum or developing lesson plans. Alpha's playbook serves as your operational framework, allowing you to concentrate on delivery and relationships.
• Accepting 99% when the goal is 100%. Maintaining this standard demonstrates your belief in their capability to reach it.
• Coaching Guides on instructional methods. Since Guides don't teach content, you're coaching presence, motivation, and accountability.
  
  

Program Director Key Responsibilities

Ensure Alpha's 3 Promises are fulfilled for every student in your level: they love attending school, they advance at twice the speed of traditional classrooms, and they develop genuine life skills.

Basic Requirements

• Currently residing in or willing to relocate to Atlanta, GA; Oklahoma City, OK; Keller (Fort Worth), TX; or Park City (Salt Lake City), UT (relocation assistance provided)
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience in education, learning and development (L&D), coaching, or related field
• Proven experience developing and executing educational programs, training initiatives, or curricula
• Leadership experience managing a team of 5 or more, including responsibility for hiring and performance-based termination decisions
• Experience working with youth ages 5-14 in educational or developmental contexts
• Demonstrated ability using data analysis and metrics to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement
• Legal authorization to work in the United States
  
  

Nice-to-have Requirements

• Master's degree in Education, Psychology, Organizational Leadership, or related discipline
• Experience in athletics coaching, camp counseling, or youth performance programs with measured results and enforced standards
• Background coaching adults in professional development or instructional coaching settings
• Documented success improving measurable outcomes (completion rates, satisfaction metrics, team performance) through leadership

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $75 USD/hour, which equates to $150,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
