What You Will Be Doing

• Developing and training Guides to deliver Alpha's workshops at world-class standards
• Designing Guide Playbooks that document facilitation best practices, rewarding learning activity design, and challenge resolution techniques
• Delivering consistent, actionable feedback to Guides that elevates student engagement and academic outcomes
• Personally coaching a small student cohort, demonstrating expert motivation and coaching methodologies

• Creating lesson plans – your Guides support student learning through adaptive applications; you concentrate on training them as exceptional motivators
• Compromising standards – when our benchmark is 100%, you uphold that expectation

Principal Learning Consultant Key Responsibilities

Develop Guides and students to ensure every learner in your cohort achieves our three commitments: loving school, learning at 2× speed, and mastering life skills. No exceptions.

Basic Requirements

• Currently located in or prepared to relocate for in-person work at one of the Alpha Campuses (Bethesda, MD; Boston, MA; Chicago, IL; Fort Lauderdale, FL; Seattle, WA; or CA: East Bay (San Francisco), Palo Alto, Santa Monica, or Los Angeles)
• Hold a Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in education, learning and development, coaching, or related fields.
• Proven track record of developing and executing innovative educational programs, curricula, or training initiatives.
• Robust leadership and mentorship capabilities with demonstrated ability to build, manage, and inspire high-performing teams.
• Background working with youth (ages 5-18) in educational or developmental settings.
• Competency in data analysis and leveraging metrics to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $100 USD/hour, which equates to $200,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
