What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parent Relations Director, Alpha - $200,000/year USD position at Crossover?
- On-site: Palo Alto, Piedmont, San Francisco, La Jolla (San Diego), or Los Angeles (South Bay), CA
- $200,000/yr
- Full-time salary
- Benefits: Health, vision, dental, 401k, PTO, etc.
This position anchors that trust. You will be the individual families turn to when uncertainty arises, when they seek counsel, or when they want to share what's important. Not as a transactional function—but because you have established credibility. Your influence will define how they perceive their child's experience at one of five California locations: Palo Alto, Piedmont, downtown San Francisco, La Jolla, or South Bay (Los Angeles).
Alpha is constructing a fundamentally different educational model. Students finish core academics in two hours per day through AI-powered platforms, then dedicate the remainder of their time to public speaking, critical thinking, and practical execution. No traditional lectures. No filler assignments. Top 1% performance nationally. Our families are discerning, well-connected, and often cautious. They value rigorous thinking, not rehearsed responses.
You will steward that dialogue over the long term. Not only at the point of enrollment, but across multiple years. You will discuss AI with fluency—its mechanics, its shortcomings, and its significance—particularly with families who launch companies, fund them, or demand precision in every choice. If you are unable to sustain that caliber of exchange, this position will prove demanding. If you can, it represents one of the most intellectually rewarding roles in the education sector.
This is not customer success. This is sustained trust-building with ultra-high-net-worth families who demand discretion, sound reasoning, and reliability. If that setting resonates—and you use AI daily to accelerate your thinking, writing, and execution—you will understand the scope immediately.
What You Will Be Doing
- Take full ownership of relationships with every family on campus, cultivating trust that grows steadily over time
- Identify emerging concerns early and address them with discretion, urgency, and clear judgment
- Be consistently visible during pivotal moments: morning arrival, afternoon departure, and thoughtfully planned parent gatherings
- Facilitate ongoing, substantive discussions about Alpha's AI-driven approach with highly analytical, technology-oriented families
- Create and iterate community experiences that foster belonging, enthusiastic support, and organic referrals
- Overseeing admissions pipelines or enrollment metrics—your work begins once families have enrolled
- Operating primarily from behind a desk or relying solely on email—this role demands strong physical presence
- Using scripted talking points or avoiding difficult questions about AI or educational philosophy
- Depending on established playbooks—you will create structure where none currently exists
- Viewing families as portfolio entries—this role values discernment, not checklist execution
Establish and maintain profound trust with ultra-high-net-worth families, driving long-term retention, advocacy, and unwavering confidence in Alpha's AI-powered educational approach.
