What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations and Permitting Coordinator, 2 Hour Learning (Remote) - $100,000/year USD position at Crossover?
This role isn't about paperwork — it's about bringing new schools to life.
2 Hour Learning is rethinking education from the ground up. We compress a traditional school day into two hours of AI-powered, personalized instruction, giving students the rest of their day to develop practical skills instead of filling seats in classrooms. But none of that can happen until a school actually opens — on time, compliant, and ready. That's your job.
In this position, you won't be setting policy from behind a desk. You'll be traveling to job sites and municipal offices, transforming signed leases into operational campuses: investigating permit requirements, calling inspectors, tracking down approvals, coordinating with contractors, and leveraging AI to shave weeks off timelines that others think are fixed. You'll collaborate directly with operations veterans and construction crews — not from a conference room, but from the field — delivering results you can point to with pride: "That school opened because I made it happen."
This position is designed for someone who learns quickly and wants impact, not just résumé padding. You'll deliver meaningful work, own outcomes from day one, and advance rapidly. If turning disorder into action plans and phone calls into approvals energizes you, let's talk.
What You Will Be Doing
Drive compliant, punctual campus openings by integrating AI-powered research, construction coordination, and proactive relationship management across multiple jurisdictions.
Basic Requirements
Education is broken, but 2 Hour Learning is proving it doesn’t have to be. They’re tearing down the outdated one-size-fits-all model and replacing it with AI-driven personalized learning that helps kids master academics in just two hours a day.
With students consistently ranking in the top 1-2% nationally and the top 20% achieving an astonishing 6.5x growth, they’re proving that smarter learning is possible. At 2 Hour Learning, it’s talent and performance that matter.
They offer a dynamic, on-campus and remote-friendly environment where innovators, educators, and AI specialists can be a part of fixing a broken school system.
2 Hour Learning is reprogramming learning for the AI era.

What You Will Be Doing

- Maintaining live trackers and dashboards to keep teams informed on completed tasks, roadblocks, and upcoming priorities
- Traveling 3-4 days per week to cities across the U.S. to advance school openings in person
- Guessing at regulatory details from your desk — you'll confirm information directly from official sources
- Waiting to be told what comes next — this role values self-direction, not passivity
- Producing generic boilerplate — we use AI to accelerate precision, not create filler
- Dwelling on high-level planning — this is hands-on execution with concrete deadlines and tangible outcomes
- Spending your life on planes — travel is frequent but purposeful, strategic, and expenses are covered in full
