What You Will Be Doing
- Conducting 1-on-1 and small-group coaching sessions leveraging Coachbot analytics and student performance data to identify obstacles, establish ambitious objectives, and ensure accountability for execution
- Facilitating structured life-skills workshops designed for mastery by drawing on credible narratives from your elite background, then evaluating mastery via Alpha's Test2Pass framework
- Establishing cultural expectations each morning through focused kickoff sessions that reinforce high-performance standards campus-wide
- Monitoring student progress continuously and adapting coaching approaches based on evidence rather than intuition
- Cultivating trusted mentorship relationships with students and families by maintaining high expectations, consistency, and documented motivation strategies
- Delivering lessons, developing curriculum, or grading student work — Alpha's AI-powered academic platform manages instruction; you manage motivation
- Addressing a classroom of 30 students (your focus is high-touch coaching in intimate groups, not large-format instruction)
- Supervising other personnel or advancing through administrative pathways (this role centers on direct student outcomes, not organizational structure)
- Attending faculty meetings or navigating institutional bureaucracy (your schedule remains concentrated on students)
- Compromising standards to satisfy metrics (if a student achieves 99%, your role is to understand what prevented 100%)

Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- At least one documented instance of exceptional achievement in a highly selective, globally recognized field (examples: national or international competition medals, top-tier university with distinction, highly selective firm or fellowship, elite performing arts institution, or founding and scaling a successful venture)
- At least 3 years of experience in student coaching, youth mentoring, athletic coaching, or leadership positions where you demonstrably improved others' performance
- Willing to work in-person at an Alpha campus in Santa Barbara, CA; Santa Monica, CA; San Francisco, CA; Greenwich, CT; Boston, MA; New York City, NY; or Seattle, WA (relocation support provided)
- Legal right to work in the United States
- History in elite competitive athletics (varsity D1, national team, or professional level) with coaching or mentoring experience for younger athletes
- Experience in high-accountability settings such as management consulting, investment banking, or military leadership
- Demonstrated youth development through mentoring in non-academic contexts (community organizations, after-school programs, sports camps)
- Ease presenting to and establishing credibility with high-expectation families investing in premium private education
