What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head of Admissions, Alpha - $200,000/year USD position at Crossover?
Most admissions positions are designed to increase volume. This one is designed to uphold standards.
Alpha is constructing one of the most ambitious educational models globally. Our campuses integrate demanding academics, technology-enabled instruction, and elevated expectations for both students and faculty. Students routinely achieve learning gains that exceed national averages, supported by measurable outcomes. Afternoons are dedicated to depth, autonomy, and practical skill development. The model is effective. But effectiveness depends on enrolling the right families.
This is your responsibility.
You will manage the complete enrollment process for a campus, beginning with initial inquiry and concluding with onboarding. This is not a role with handoffs. You own how families perceive us, how well they comprehend the model, and whether enrollment decisions are made with clear alignment. You will evaluate compatibility, facilitate informed discussions, and recommend declining enrollment when appropriate. The objective is not maximizing numbers. The objective is ensuring fit.
We welcome candidates from high-end service backgrounds outside conventional education: selective private schools, competitive programs, luxury hospitality, executive assistance, premium membership communities, or entrepreneurial operators who have independently managed sophisticated client relationships from start to finish. What counts is your capacity to execute a detailed, multi-phase process with sound judgment, transparency, and accountability.
If your career has been defined by delivering exceptional service where trust, confidentiality, and experiential quality reflect the brand, this position will be recognizable—simply applied to work that drives meaningful outcomes.
This is a full-time, salaried, on-campus role. We are hiring in La Jolla, Los Angeles, Marin County, Palo Alto, Piedmont, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, Santa Monica, South Bay. Relocation assistance is provided.
