What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elite Performance Coach, Alpha - $150,000/year USD position at Crossover?
You believe the greatest gift you can give a student is to keep the bar exactly where it belongs—high. You've achieved something rare: elite-level competition, a distinguished degree from a top university, success at a highly selective institution, or a venture you launched and grew yourself. Now imagine channeling that drive into a classroom of K-12 students who've never had someone like you pushing them toward standards they never imagined reaching. If the idea of holding young people to elite expectations feels too demanding, this isn't for you.
Alpha leverages AI-driven 1-on-1 instruction so students complete their core academics in roughly two hours daily. The remaining time is devoted to life skills, passion projects, and meaningful development. At Alpha's most rigorous campuses, students require more than oversight. They need a mentor whose personal track record sets the benchmark: someone capable of assessing the room, establishing expectations, and guiding them through resistance, distraction, and doubt.
Your role is not instructional. AI manages the academic content. Your responsibility is to inspire, coach, and apply the same exacting standards you've applied to yourself. Forty percent of your time goes to direct 1-on-1 and small-group coaching sessions that identify obstacles and establish ambitious targets. Another forty percent involves facilitating structured life-skills workshops designed for mastery rather than engagement alone. The final twenty percent is devoted to morning kickoffs that set a tone where mediocrity has no place.
The trajectory here is depth rather than advancement. You begin by mastering Alpha's approach and earning student trust. Within months, you become the person they rely on to push them beyond perceived limits. The payoff isn't a title change. It's continuity with the same students, year after year, as they grow with you beside them. It's witnessing a student who avoided eye contact in September confidently address a room of adults by May.
This position remains student-centered. Students are the purpose, not a means to career progression. If your motivation to leave your current role is the mission itself, not résumé building, submit your application now.
