What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Admissions, Alpha - $250,000/year USD position at Crossover?
Most admissions positions prioritize volume. This role is designed to uphold standards.
Alpha is developing one of the world's most rigorous school models. Our campuses integrate demanding academics, technology-enabled instruction, and elevated expectations for both learners and educators. Students routinely progress ahead of national benchmarks—validated by evidence. Afternoons are structured for deeper learning, autonomy, and the development of practical competencies. The model is effective. But success depends on enrolling families who align with its principles.
Your role begins here.
You will manage the complete admissions process for a campus, spanning application through final enrollment. This is not a pass-along function. You are accountable for the family's experience with our organization, the clarity with which they grasp the model, and the integrity of their enrollment decision. You will evaluate compatibility, facilitate meaningful dialogue, and advise against enrollment when appropriate. Maximum enrollment is not the objective. The objective is alignment.
We welcome candidates from high-caliber service backgrounds outside conventional education: selective independent schools, competitive programs, luxury hospitality, executive client management, elite membership organizations, or entrepreneurial operators who have personally directed high-stakes client experiences from inception to completion. What counts is your capability to execute a nuanced, multi-phase process with discernment, precision, and accountability.
If your professional history includes delivering exceptional service in contexts where trust, confidentiality, and experience quality are brand-defining, this position will be recognizable—only applied to work that produces measurable impact.
This is a full-time, salaried, on-site position. We are recruiting for Marin County, Palo Alto, Piedmont, and San Francisco. Relocation assistance is provided.
