The model is effective. But its effectiveness depends entirely on enrolling the right families.

This is your responsibility.

You will manage the complete enrollment process for a campus, beginning with initial inquiry and continuing through onboarding. This is not a role where you pass families from one person to another. You are accountable for how families perceive us, how thoroughly they grasp the model, and whether enrollment choices are made with clarity and alignment. You will evaluate fit, facilitate meaningful discussions, and advise against enrollment when appropriate. The objective is not to maximize headcount. The objective is alignment.

We welcome candidates from premium service backgrounds outside conventional education: selective private schools, competitive programs, luxury hospitality, executive support, high-end membership organizations, or entrepreneurs who have personally directed high-value client experiences from start to finish. What counts is your capacity to execute a high-touch, multi-phase process with discernment, precision, and accountability.

This is a full-time, salaried, on-site position. We are hiring in La Jolla, Los Angeles, Marin County, Palo Alto, Piedmont, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, Santa Monica, South Bay. Relocation assistance is available.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Managing the complete enrollment experience for prospective families, from initial contact through onboarding.
  • Facilitating needs-assessment discussions to evaluate alignment before proposing solutions or outlining next steps.
  • Overseeing 20 concurrent family engagements at varying stages of the enrollment pipeline, with transparent tracking of status and follow-up actions.
  • Guiding campus tours, shadow visits, and decision-making conversations that articulate outcomes, expectations, and the families for whom the model is designed.
  • Ensuring accurate documentation in CRM and enrollment systems (HubSpot and SIS) to enable forecasting, prioritization, and service excellence.

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Applying transactional or aggressive sales methods.
  • Admitting families who lack alignment in order to meet enrollment targets.
  • Overseeing a large team or working through complex approval hierarchies.
  • Fragmenting the family experience across multiple points of contact.
  • Operating remotely. This position is campus-based by necessity.

Director Of Admissions Key Responsibilities

Design and deliver a high-trust, high-selectivity enrollment process that successfully enrolls aligned families while safeguarding the integrity and outcomes of the Alpha model.

Basic Requirements

  • 3 years providing premium, individualized service in settings where service excellence directly influences brand reputation (education, luxury hospitality, executive support, premium membership, or owner-operated businesses).
  • Proven ownership of a full-cycle client, admissions, or enrollment process from initial contact through onboarding.
  • Experience managing 20 concurrent client, guest, or family relationships at various stages, supported by a structured approach to tracking and prioritization.
  • Capacity to share specific examples of consultative decision-making, including instances where you recommended against your offering when it was not the appropriate fit.
  • Professional written correspondence experience with senior executives, high-net-worth individuals, or discerning clients.
  • Willingness to reside in or relocate within 60 days to one of the following locations: La Jolla, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Marin County, CA; Palo Alto, CA; Piedmont, CA; San Francisco, CA; Santa Barbara, CA; Santa Monica, CA; or South Bay, CA.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Nice-to-have Requirements

  • Experience in competitive private school admissions or selective program enrollment.
  • Background in luxury hospitality, VIP client services, or executive-level support functions.
  • Experience developing or refining enrollment workflows, standard operating procedures, or service protocols.
  • Proficiency using data and CRM analytics to enhance conversion quality, not merely velocity.

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $100 USD/hour, which equates to $200,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
