What You Will Be Doing
- Facilitating one-hour life-skills workshops for K-8 cohorts covering public speaking, focus, and the giving and receiving of feedback
- Conducting daily one-on-one and small-group motivation sessions that drive every student to 100% completion of their weekly app objectives, utilizing Coachbot analytics and Alpha's incentive structures (school currency, leaderboards)
- Delivering the Test2Pass mastery assessment for each life skill, then re-coaching students who do not pass until mastery is achieved
- Modifying the workshop playbook and creating new sessions when gaps are identified, ensuring the same content resonates with both kindergarteners and 8th graders
- Serving as both the adult who maintains the standard and the adult your students willingly confide in
- Delivering whiteboard lectures, creating math and reading lesson plans, or grading homework; academic instruction is handled by the apps
- Conducting standardized test prep or being responsible for class-wide test scores
- Managing parent conferences, emails, and complaints; all parent-facing responsibilities belong to campus leadership
- Controlling crowds of 30 students simultaneously; cohorts are small and behavioral work is conducted through 1:1 coaching
- Supervising children at computers; motivation here is hands-on and relational

Basic Requirements
- Willing to work in person at an Alpha campus in Scottsdale, AZ; Oklahoma City and Tulsa, OK; Nashville, TN; Dallas, Plano, Fort Worth, Houston, and Brownsville, TX; Springfield, MA; or Park City, UT - relocation support provided
- Bachelor's degree in any subject
- At least 3 years working directly with K-8 (elementary and middle school) students: classroom teaching, tutoring, athletic coaching, camp leadership, or youth program work
- Comfortable allowing adaptive learning software to handle academic instruction while you focus on motivation and life-skills coaching
- A personal track record of high achievement—academic, athletic, or professional—that has made upholding a rigorous standard a habit rather than an act
- Stage presence capable of commanding a room of 12-year-olds for an hour without needing to raise your voice
- Legal right to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
- Youth athletics coaching, debate, drama, camp leadership, or after-school program work where you held personal accountability for kids reaching a defined goal
- Experience delivering social-emotional learning (SEL) or durable-skills curricula
- A student you can identify by name who transitioned from resistant or disengaged to fully invested, and the precise action you took
- Daily use of generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini
