What You Will Be Doing

• Preparing equipment, materials, and spaces for sessions and workshops.
• Supporting academic staff in daily operations.
• Monitoring and facilitating student engagement.
• Managing session transitions and coordinating schedules.
• Receiving mentorship from leaders transforming K-12 education.

• Sitting on the sidelines: You'll actively engage with students and support their learning, not just supervise from a distance.
• Feeling overwhelmed: You won't be expected to lecture, lead classes, or provide emotional coaching (yet)—that's the responsibility of the Guide.
• Doing meaningless work: This is more than just a job. You'll contribute directly to helping kids thrive and grow, ensuring every hour counts.
  
  

Camp Counselor Key Responsibilities

Assist Guides in fulfilling Alpha's commitments to students: ensuring academic achievement, developing life skills, and cultivating a passion for learning.

Basic Requirements

• Available to work in person at our Miami campus.
• Commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week, with full flexibility to select your schedule during school hours (Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM). Full-time position available.
• Prior experience working with children.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Approachable, kid-friendly personality.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

Working with us

This is a part-time (20 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $30 USD/hour, which equates to $30,000 USD/year assuming 20 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
