About the Role
We are seeking an Operational Excellence Engineer to join our Project Management Office (PMO) in Livonia, Michigan.
In this client-facing consulting role, you'll work directly with manufacturing leaders to improve productivity, optimize operations, eliminate waste, and drive operational excellence. As part of Crossover Solutions’ team, you'll be assigned to client engagements aligned with project goals and timelines, gaining hands-on experience across manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives while working alongside experienced consultants in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Partner with manufacturing leadership to improve operational performance, productivity, and manufacturing efficiency.
· Analyze production processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
· Develop standardized work, process improvements, and production cost models.
· Utilize data analysis to support operational decision-making and performance improvement.
· Collaborate with production, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to achieve project objectives.
· Prepare presentations and reports for client leadership.
· Facilitate problem-solving sessions and support implementation of sustainable operational improvements.
Required Qualifications
· U.S. Citizenship required.
· Bachelor's degree from recognized educational institution.
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
· Ability to determine how operations, environments, and systems interact.
· A knack for deconstructing and resolving issues through quantitative and qualitative reasoning and analysis
· Proficiency with MS Office
· Ability to thrive in fast-paced, client-facing environments.
· Ability to travel up to 80% throughout North America.
Preferred Qualifications
· B.S or M.S in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Mechanical Engineering.
· 1–2 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, engineering, or consulting with hands-on knowledge of industry practices and challenges.
· Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, and Continuous Improvement.
· Experience with Power BI, AutoCAD, advanced Excel, or VBA.
· Familiarity with Quality Management Systems and manufacturing operations
