Platform Security Engineer

Position: Intelligent Identity Engineer (US)

Type: Full-time position

Compensation: $130K–$250K/year (plus equity)

Role Responsibilities

• Design and implement centralized identity and access management systems as a single source of truth.
• Enforce least-privilege access across internal and external platforms by default.
• Integrate Okta with employee, contractor, and partner identity workflows.
• Build AI-driven automation for identity lifecycle management (onboarding, offboarding, role changes).
• Develop scalable abstractions for platform identity, application access, and database permissions.
• Ensure compliance with standards such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and NIST as systems scale.
• Continuously evaluate and improve IAM tools, policies, and enforcement mechanisms.
• Partner with customers to support external provisioning workflows to third-party applications.
• Stay ahead of trends in identity management, IAM automation, and AI-powered access provisioning.

Requirements

• Strong experience designing and scaling identity and access management (IAM) systems.
• Hands-on experience integrating identity providers (e.g., Okta) with enterprise platforms.
• Deep understanding of least-privilege principles, access controls, and security best practices.
• Experience building automation for identity lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks and security standards (SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST).
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Infrastructure, Security, and Operations teams.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
