Role Responsibilities
- Design and build tools and processes that improve developer productivity, automate manual work, and enhance code quality.
- Create and maintain local development environments, code generation tools, CLIs, and automation for repetitive tasks.
- Leverage AI and AI-powered tools to rethink and improve engineering productivity at scale.
- Partner closely with frontend and backend engineers to identify workflow bottlenecks and resolve developer friction.
- Standardize development environments using modern best practices and improve testing strategies.
- Instrument developer tools to measure adoption, impact, and effectiveness, iterating based on feedback from engineers.
Requirements
- Background in platform engineering, developer productivity, or developer experience roles.
- Experience building developer environments using Docker, devcontainers, docker-compose, or native tooling.
- Proficiency in at least one of Python, Go, or scripting languages, with strong automation skills.
- Familiarity with AWS and cloud-native development practices.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with a focus on improving developer workflows.
- Interest in or exposure to AI-assisted coding or developer tools is a plus.
