Machine Operator – 2nd & 3rd Shift
Location: Shelby Township, MI
Pay Rate: $18.50 – $19.50 per hour
Contract to start with direct hire conversion possible
Schedule Options:
2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
3rd Shift: Sunday–Thursday, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Position Summary:
We are seeking dedicated Operators to support production in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Operators will run machines, perform inspections, maintain equipment, and ensure consistent quality and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Load raw parts into the manufacturing cell.
Maintain scrap bins, chip hoppers, and machine fluids (coolants, lubes).
Perform routine machine cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, and filter changes.
Run production parts and CMM programs as required.
Inspect parts at required intervals and respond to dimensional trends.
Record dimensional data and track process capability.
Complete production and downtime reporting.
Adjust machine settings or change tools based on part measurements or schedules.
Perform titrations and adjust concentrations for coolants and wash solutions.
Monitor machine operation to detect and address malfunctions.
Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Perform basic machine maintenance per instructions.
Qualifications:
Effective communication skills with team members.
Previous experience in high-volume manufacturing or automotive preferred.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on production environment.
Salary : $19 - $20
