Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to facilitate the efficient movement of materials within our facility. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, safety protocols, and mechanical knowledge to ensure smooth shipping and receiving processes.
- 1st shift 6am-230pm $21.25hr
- 2nd shift 230pm-1030pm $22.75hr
- Must be able to pass EV and Pass a Background Check
- Must have experience working in a freezer
- Must be able to provide proof of education GED or HSD
Responsibilities
- Operate Reach Truck
- Perform order picking using RF scanners and other warehouse management systems.
- Safely handle heavy lifting tasks while adhering to OSHA safety standards.
- Assist in shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory management.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to maintain an organized and efficient work environment.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues.
- Participate in training sessions for new equipment or procedures as required.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution and materials handling.
- Familiarity with order picking processes and warehouse management systems.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation.
- Experience with RF scanners for tracking inventory movements.
- Ability to operate cranes, forklifts, and other heavy machinery safely.
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving protocols within a warehouse setting.
- Previous experience as a warehouse supervisor is a plus but not required.
