What are the responsibilities and job description for the After School Program Staff position at Cross Lanes YMCA Child Development?
Cross Lanes YMCA is currently seeking caring and hardworking role models to join our After School team!
The After School team provides educational and recreational activities for children ages Pre-K to 12 years old and will also be responsible for the general safety, development, growth, and achievement of the children in their group. Daily activities include homework assistance, snack, arts and crafts, games, and more. This is a great experience for college students studying education or recreation!
This position may involve operating a YMCA shuttle bus to transport children from school to the YMCA.
Applicants must:
- be at least 18 years of age, 21 years of age to operate shuttle
- have at least a high school diploma or equivalent
- consent to fingerprinting, a criminal records check, driver’s license check, protective service record check, and a sex offender registry check
- be able to work a regularly scheduled shift Monday through Friday, and extended shifts when Kanawha County Schools are not in session
- Prior experience working with children highly preferred
