What You'll Do As our Tropical, Annual and Perennial (TAP) Manager
You'll be responsible for leading the team and operations behind one of our most active departments. You'll direct a fast-paced, seasonally driven crew, keep plants healthy and beautifully merchandised, and make sure every customer who walks through gets the best experience possible.
Your responsibilities will include
- Assisting customers with any and all plant questions or needs
- Overseeing the care and maintenance of the Annual, Tropical, and Perennial departments
- Merchandising material to enhance the customer experience
- Training new staff and continuing the education of tenured team members
- Managing, tasking, and leading the TAP team
- Developing systems to keep the department running efficiently and effectively
- Setting daily and long-term goals for the department and its team members
- Developing and utilizing a spray program to maintain the highest quality across all plants
- Overseeing interdepartmental transfers and processing incoming/outgoing orders
- Communicating with buyers to address needs, voids, and incoming orders
- Maintaining and troubleshooting inventory issues
