Job Details

• Position Description:
  
  The telemetry unit features 27 beds with plans to expand. The registered nurse (RN) will provide direct patient care, including cardiac drip management, stroke assessment, and post-cath lab recovery. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting monitors and documentation every 6 hours using SpaceLab transitioning to Philips monitors. The unit handles complex diagnoses such as CHF, NSTEMI, STEMI, stroke, sepsis, and renal failure.


• Required Qualifications:
  
  Valid state RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications, minimum 2 years of experience as a telemetry nurse, cardiac drip experience, stroke assessment, post-cath recovery, chest tube experience, and proficiency with set rate diltiazem and amiodarone.


• Schedule:
  
  Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, totaling 36 hours per week.


• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  Experience with SpaceLab and Philips monitors, and float experience to related units or ICU if applicable.


• Additional Information:
  
  All candidates will undergo system onboarding followed by two orientation shifts. The unit requires the permant address be outside a 50-mile radius from the facility to comply with the radius rule. Travelers will cover weekends and holidays as needed; no call or standby requirements are in place. Float to similar units will occur, including occasional coverage at larger medical centers if experienced.
