Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Floor Nurse - MS REHAB This healthcare facility is seeking a dedicated nurse to join its Medical Surgical Rehabilitation team. The position involves providing professional nursing care to diverse patient populations, supporting quality improvement initiatives, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Current New Hampshire RN license required; Basic Life Support certification required; Graduate of an approved Nursing program preferred; 0 years of experience minimum.
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
- Responsible for supporting and promoting the mission and values of the organization.
- Renders professional nursing care to patients and carries out provider orders.
- Provides comprehensive clinical documentation including care plans each shift.
- Communicates patient information through Bedside shift report, Multidisciplinary rounds, and Hourly Rounding (AIDET).
- Completes all required learning modules within the designated timeframe.
- Promotes a culture of well-being and a positive department atmosphere.
- Ensures a safe environment by following established safety procedures and protocols.
- Identifies and assists in correction of patient care safety issues.
- Works within a Just Culture Environment to promote error reporting and safe practices.
- Addresses issues through appropriate use of the chain of command.
- Participates in daily safety Huddles.
- Remains up to date with unit-based nurse sensitive indicators (such as CAUTI, CLABSI, CDIFF, HAPU, FALLS, HH, and VAE).
- Actively participates in quality initiatives and performance improvement.
- Collaborates with nurses in other departments/units to leverage clinical expertise.
- Develops and implements performance goals based on self-assessment and feedback.
- Ensures patient education materials are culturally competent.
- Serves as preceptor for new nurses and participates in DNV survey readiness.
- Demonstrates shared governance principles and promotes a safe, collaborative work environment.
- Effectively delegates care tasks to team members.
- Collaborates in planning, supervising, and instructing nursing staff and students.
- Participates in peer feedback and employee engagement activities.
- Demonstrates commitment to shared governance and co-worker accountability.
- Manages use of Earned Time Off (ETO) per policy and avoids unauthorized overtime.
- Completes dysrhythmia course prior to completion of orientation; maintains nursing licensure and certifications.
- Other duties as related to clinical care and operational excellence.
