Job Summary
Step Down Unit Nurse (Location) This facility is seeking a dedicated Step Down Unit Nurse to provide care for a mix of medical/surgical and intermediate care patients. The role involves monitoring and managing various cardiac and respiratory conditions, with a focus on patient safety and quality outcomes.
Job Details
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Education Requirements: Current license in the state or a compact license approved for practice in the state.
- Experience Requirement: 1 year of clinical experience in a similar setting; preferred 5-6 months of patient ratio experience and charting experience with Epic.
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Clinical Responsibilities include: Managing cardiac and vascular patients, interpreting dysrhythmias, managing Vasoactive drips, and providing advanced airway management including BiPAP/CPAP.
- Additional Information: The unit accepts 1st time travelers; the nurse-to-patient ratios range from 1:4 to 1:6. Must complete onboarding core items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing.
- Requirements for submission: State or Compact license must be in hand at the time of submittal, all RTO must be listed, previous staff must be approved by the facility to return.
