Job Summary:
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse position is based in Odessa, Texas. This role involves providing specialized care to neonatal patients, utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act, hospital policies, and procedures. The RN will demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to ensure the safe delivery of care for vulnerable neonatal patients during night shifts.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, at least 2 years of relevant clinical experience including prior travel experience, and experience working in Neonatal Intensive Care Units.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit setting with stable patient outcomes, familiarity with Navy scrubs, and ability to work independently without call responsibilities.
- Additional Information: All travel submissions must meet the experience and travel experience criteria. No local candidates will be accepted. All assignments are with a PWP facility, meaning payment is contingent upon facility payment. The Neonatal Intensive Care Registered Nurse will be accountable for patient care, clinical supervision, and maintaining competency through continuing education.
