Job Summary:
Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is needed in a rural setting in ROCK SPRINGS, Wyoming. The position involves managing critically ill patients in a fast-paced environment, utilizing advanced equipment and following strict clinical protocols. The assignment begins on 08/17/2026 and offers dayshift scheduling for 12-hour shifts.
Job Details:
- Location: ROCK SPRINGS, Wyoming
- Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Wyoming state or compact RN license; minimum of 2 years experience in critical care; certifications including BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- Specific Equipment and Systems Utilized: Alaris IV pumps, Space labs, cardiac monitoring, Mindray vitals, Nicom, Kangaroo pumps, Zo US defibrillators, Pyxis medication system
- Work Environment & Responsibilities: Bedside management of critical care patients, potential float to Medsurg, Emergency Room, or Post-partum units (helping out, not taking patient load). Shadowing and orientation are provided with immediate participation after Day 2.
- Unit Details: 10 beds/rooms, nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2 for critical care and 1:4 for stepdown, 1:4-5 for Medsurg overflow. The team works with another RN, and on-call may be required during low census periods.
- Additional Information: HR and education requirements are completed on Day 1; restraint training occurs on Day 2. The clinical team uses Cerner charting system, with no BSN requirement. The employee will be expected to adhere to site-specific dress code, with the flexibility to wear any color scrubs.
