Job Summary:
An ICU (Intensive Care Unit) registered nurse is sought in Salt Lake City, Utah. This position involves providing critical care nursing in an acute care setting, with an emphasis on maintaining patient stability and supporting recovery. The role requires adherence to hospital protocols and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
Job Details:
- Location: Salt Lake City, Utah
- Schedule: Nights shift from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM; minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid license to practice as a registered nurse; certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); at least 2 years of clinical experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience working in acute care or ICU environments, familiarity with electronic charting systems such as EPIC.
- Float: Float rotation may be required throughout zone 2 locations within a 60-mile radius; travel time paid when required.
- Additional Information: Candidates should be in the state for the week of orientation, even if some modules are remote. The hiring process involves an interview with the organization's clinical team, with no involvement from unit management. The hospital reserves the right to cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments shorter than 13 weeks. The electronic charting system used is EPIC.
