Job Summary
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in a specialized pediatric trauma center known for delivering high-quality care to neonatal patients. The role involves float responsibilities across units, requiring flexibility in schedule and a strong foundation in neonatal nursing practices. The position is scheduled for the night shift with a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 10/19/2026 and ending on 01/18/2027.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid state license (compact license must be in hand at submission), at least 1 year of neonatal intensive care experience, BLS and NRP certifications, ability to demonstrate experience in administration of blood and blood products, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), basic charting experience with Epic electronic health record system, and neonatal care proficiency including APGAR scoring, ventilator management, and neonatal sepsis care
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience with high-frequency ventilation, invasive hemodynamic monitoring, or working in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) setting
- Patient Ratios: Approximately 1:2-4 neonates, with variability based on patient needs and staffing assignments
- Additional Information: The role involves significant responsibilities including management of infant airway devices, IV therapy, thermoregulation, and family education. Candidates must be flexible to float between units as needed within the pediatric patient care environment. Willingness to work 3 of 5 holidays is required.
