Job Summary:

Medical Surgical Floor (MS) in Redding, California. This position involves providing care to medical and post-operative surgical patients in a 30-bed unit. The role requires experienced nurses who can work independently, with a focus on team collaboration, patient safety, and clinical excellence.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, approximately 36 hours per week, with every other weekend requirement. First to float, with a patient-to-staff ratio of 1:5.


• Required Qualifications: Valid license to practice nursing, BLS certification, minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a medical-surgical setting, prior travel experience preferred, and COVID vaccine required.


• Preferred Qualifications: Experience reading and interpreting dysrhythmias, ability to float between med-surg floors and telemetry, excellent team player.

  • No ventilator management or ICU responsibilities.
  
  
  • Open 24/7 hospitalist and pharmacy services, with ICU and RT services also available around the clock.
  
  
  • Emphasis on teamwork, flexibility regarding floating to tele and medical-surgical floors, and adherence to emergency protocols.
  
  
  • Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.
