Job Summary:

The Medical Surgical Floor nurse position is located in Franklin, Indiana. This role involves providing patient care for a variety of medical and surgical patients within an acute care setting. The position offers a nights shift schedule, with a focus on clinical excellence and teamwork.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours shift hours, minimum of 36 hours per week


• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS; BSN not required; 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical, Telemetry, or Critical Care units preferred


• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with MS/PCU/Telemetry or Critical Care units


• Floating: Within Medical Surgical scope of practice; floating to other units as required


• Additional Information: No blocked scheduling requests; patient population includes pneumonia, COPD, CHF, orthopedic, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, diverticulitis, bowel resection, and pancreatitis cases. RN staff are not required to titrate drips. On-site charge RN and supervisor are available on night shifts. The unit utilizes Cerner charting system. The orientation process includes one shift of clinical nursing education followed by two shifts with a preceptor.
