Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery (L&D) specialist position is located in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. This role involves providing expert care in a high-volume obstetric and neonatal environment, supporting patients through labor, delivery, and postpartum. The position offers an opportunity to work within a comprehensive team dedicated to patient safety and quality care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours each, with a minimum of 48 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Epic charting system experience; minimum of 2 years of current Labor and Delivery unit experience; valid Pennsylvania RN license; minimum of 2 years of experience preferred; patient ratio experience of 4 during night shifts; valid certifications as listed
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience; trauma level I or II experience; experience with community hospital settings; experience with COVID-19 patient care; ability to care for neonatal and adult patients
- Additional Information: No call requirement; weekends as needed; onboarding and orientation hours to be provided; the unit supports interdisciplinary teams including IV therapy, respiratory services, social services, pharmacy, and radiology; patient census approximately 8 per day in a 12-bed unit; possible caring for COVID patients; tobacco and fragrance-free facility.
- Submittal Details: Epil charting experience heavily preferred; candidates must be compliant with client RTO policy with a maximum of 7 days; local radius requirement is 50 miles; candidates must hold a valid Pennsylvania RN license; all pharmacists/pharmacy tech candidates must have a Pennsylvania license; mammography tech candidates must meet MQSA standards, including recent mammogram experience and continuing education credits; EKG testing may be required within 72 hours of contract signing.
