Job Summary

A position in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is available in an acute care setting. The role involves providing specialized care in a trauma level 2 facility, with responsibilities including managing high-acuity patients and troubleshooting ventilators. The position requires adaptability to float between units as needed.

Job Details

• Position Description: Will float between Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVIU) and Neonatal and Surgical Intensive Care Units (NSICU). May float to Progressive Care Unit (PCU), which is very high acuity. Charge registered nurse on unit 24/7 who is not assigned a patient. Every other weekend shift; RN is required to read own telemetry strips and troubleshoot ventilators. Respiratory Therapist (RT) is in-house 24/7. Trauma level 2, stroke certified. Pharmacy available 24/7 with drips requiring titration up and down.


• Certifications: ACLS, BLS Certification, NIHSS required.


• Required Qualifications: No BSN required; licensure to submit; minimum of 2 years of ICU experience.


• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, days, with every other weekend; minimum of 36 hours per week.


• Start Date: 10/05/2026


• End Date: 01/04/2027
