Emergency Room Nurse ER [Location]
This emergency room position involves providing high-quality care in a fast-paced environment, managing a diverse patient population with various critical conditions. The role requires hands-on experience in emergency patient management, collaborative teamwork, and adaptability across multiple hospital departments.
Job Details
- Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC.
- Education and Experience: Minimum of 2 years of ER experience required.
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, with the possibility of supported block scheduling and self-scheduling.
- Additional Responsibilities: Ability to float between ER and medical-surgical units; manage common ER conditions such as chest pain, stroke, pneumonia, dehydration, and urinary tract infections, as well as medical-surgical cases including COPD, diverticulitis, AKI, etc.
- Clinical Skills: Proficient in managing medications such as heparin, nitro, norepinephrine; setup and troubleshooting ventilators, CPAP, and BiPAP machines; capable of reading EKGs and managing vital signs with lead GE monitors and Mindray machines.
- Team Dynamics: Work alongside a team including nurse aides, paramedics, and telehealth providers.
- Additional Notes: Must demonstrate good ER skills, organization, time management, and leadership abilities. Floating between ER and medical-surgical units is expected.
