Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse | Location: Not specified. This position involves providing urgent care in a small ER setting, working independently with backup support from a House Supervisor and ER physicians. The role requires clinical expertise in trauma, critical care, and emergency nursing procedures.
Job Details
- Position Description: The ER nurse will be responsible for patient assessment, emergency interventions, and utilizing equipment such as Omnicell and MediTech for order entry. The nurse should be able to function independently, with backup support from House Supervisors and physicians.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license verification, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), and TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course). Minimum of 2 years of ER experience required.
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, every other weekend, with a combination of 8- and 12-hour shifts during Day and Evening hours. The workweek spans from Sunday through Saturday, with floating to different units/departments as needed.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a small ER environment, higher acuity or ICU experience to assist with occasional outreach.
- Additional Information: The candidate must have an Oregon RN license in hand prior to starting, and be able to work independently with minimum supervision. Orientation consists of at least one 12-hour shift, with computer charting on the unit. The client enforces a 50-mile radius restriction, and call-off or cancellation requests can be made up to 24 hours prior to shifts.
