Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse position in San Antonio, TX. This role involves providing specialized emergency nursing care in a high-volume hospital setting. The position offers a rotating shift schedule with varied hours, supporting the delivery of critical care services in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
- Location: San Antonio, TX
- Unit: Emergency Room (ER)
- Shift Schedule: Rotating shifts, averaging 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks from 09/21/2026 to 12/21/2026
- Required Qualifications: At least 2 years of emergency room experience; valid and active Texas RN license; certifications including PALS or ENPC, ACLS, BLS, TNCC, NIHSS; proficiency with Meditech electronic documentation system; strong teamwork and communication skills
- Preferred Qualifications: Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN); experience with Meditech; additional advanced skills are a plus
- Additional Information: All travelers are required to float as needed, following the Methodist floating policy. The role involves performing procedures such as intubations, conscious sedation, stroke management (including TPA administration), and various other emergency nursing responsibilities. Scrubs must be navy in color; no acrylic or chipped nail polish; hair must be off shoulders and natural in color; body art should be covered; visible piercings other than earrings are prohibited.
