Job Summary:

Intensive Care Unit Float registered nurse position in Carlsbad, New Mexico. This role involves providing high-level patient care in a 12-bed ICU setting with responsibilities including ventilator management, titratable drips, and patient hygiene. The position requires flexibility to float between the ICU, Emergency Room, and Medical-Surgical departments, adhering to facility protocols to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Location: Carlsbad, New Mexico


• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week


• Required Qualifications: 2 years of ICU experience, BLS and ACLS certifications, ER and Med Surg experience, TNCC preferred, experience with vents, titratable drips, mixing medications, patient hygiene, valid fingerprint clearance for New Mexico travelers


• Preferred Qualifications: TNCC certification, experience with vents, titratable drips, mixing medications, patient hygiene


• Float: Float rotation may be required. Nurses help answer call lights, pass meds, transport patients, start IVs, do blood draws, and provide patient care; when floating to Medical-Surgical, full patient assignments of up to 6 patients or acting as an aide for 12 patients may be assigned.
