Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS/Tele) registered nurse position in a modern acute care facility. This role involves providing bedside patient care on a 34-bed medical-surgical unit utilizing a co-care/virtual nursing model. The candidate will support patients with diverse diagnoses including cancer-related conditions, heart disease, diabetes, and complex trauma, working primarily night shifts. The position offers an opportunity to work within a Magnet-designated facility, providing high-quality patient care in a collaborative environment.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid license in the state of practice (pending licenses accepted but must be in hand for auto offer), BLS certification, at least 1 year of clinical nursing experience, specialized skills in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of rapid response and code teams, peripheral line care and management, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, and adherence to isolation precautions and PPE protocols
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with MS/Tele setting, charting with Epic or any electronic medical record system, community hospital experience, and trauma care experience
- Float: Float to other similar units within scope if needed
- Additional Information: Assignment length ranges from 13 to 26 weeks, start date ASAP, RTO requests must be included at submission, guaranteed hours are 60 per two-week period, and candidates must be able to complete AK RN license application within 48 hours of signing. Candidates should be prepared to work during some holidays and adhere to specific scheduling requests submitted upfront.
