Job Summary:

The city of Farmington, New Mexico, is seeking qualified Registered Nurses (RNs) for a Medical Surgical With Telemetry position. This role involves providing quality patient care on a medical unit within a busy healthcare facility. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position is scheduled for night shifts, and the assignment is set to start on 07/27/2026.

Job Details:

• Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Unit


• Specialty: Medical Surgical With Telemetry

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week


• Required Qualifications: Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA), active nursing license, ADN degree or higher, at least 1 year of relevant experience (2 years preferred), location in the United States, and no minimum experience requirement specified but relevant experience preferred.


• Additional Information: Patient ratios of 1:5 and 1:6, utilizing equipment such as VS machine, bladder scanner, IV pumps, thermal imaging, lifts, and tube feeding pumps. The unit cares for adult patients (18 years and older) with common diagnoses including cirrhosis, sepsis, pneumonia, respiratory illnesses, wounds, and congestive heart failure (CHF). The supervisor is the Manager, with an Assistant Manager supporting.


• Certifications: BLS (must be AHA)


• Shift Time: Days, 7P - 7A


• Submission Requirements: Resume and Submission Form, area-specific competency exam, skills checklist, and screening questions (see attachment). Candidates must have an overall skills checklist rating of at least 3.2.
