Job Summary:

A registered nurse specializing in Medical Surgical (Med Surg) care is sought for a position in Bemidji, Minnesota. The role involves caring for medical, surgical, and ortho patients, with occasional responsibilities for behavioral health patients. Candidates are required to bring their active Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) license and should have at least two years of Med Surg experience. The position entails working 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule, including every other weekend and holiday, with the possibility of floating to other units as needed. Candidates must also submit their license at the time of application.

• Required Qualifications: Active Minnesota RN license, Minnesota State SNSA license, BLS (American Heart Association) certification, minimum of 2 years Med Surg experience, experience with Orthopedic patients highly preferred, ability to monitor telepatients, and experience with EPIC electronic medical record system.


• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with behavioral health patients including procedures such as chest tube management, trach cares, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and wound care.


• Additional Information: Floating to over units/departments may be required, with low likelihood of floating to telemetry, observation, rehab, or postpartum units. Scrub color required is navy blue. Prior employment with Sanford Health must be disclosed, with end dates at least 6 months prior to submission.
