Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Fargo, North Dakota. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/28/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Medical Surgical Floor (MS) nurse in a large healthcare facility in Fargo. This role involves providing care for adult medical and surgical patients, including those experiencing behavioral disturbances. The unit operates 12-hour day shifts with every other weekend and holiday. The position requires flexibility to float across various medical-surgical units within Fargo and supports a fast-paced hospital environment. Job Details: Schedule: 12-hour Day/Night rotation, every other weekend and holiday. The schedule may cycle between all days or all nights for up to three weeks, depending on unit needs. Self-scheduling is supported, with guaranteed days off as per the contract, and shift swaps encouraged. Required Qualifications: Minimum 2 years recent nursing experience in a large hospital setting (250 beds). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA). Valid ND or compact state Registered Nurse (RN) license. Epic electronic medical record (EMR) experience. Preferred Qualifications: Level 1 trauma experience. Experience working in a busy, large hospital environment. Responsibilities: Collaborates with physicians and inter-professional team members to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Demonstrates competency within the full scope of nursing knowledge and practices within the appropriate age and population-specific standards. Utilizes hospital equipment such as Philips monitors, bladder scanners, Acuivein, and Omnicell. Provides care across all medical-surgical units in Allen Fargo, with the potential to float to other units as needed. Additional Information: Must badge in and out at the facility. Scrub color: Navy blue. The unit has a 5:1 patient-to-nurse ratio on days and 6:1 on nights. No candidates living within a 60-mile radius of the facility will be considered. Candidates living 60-80 miles from the facility will receive a reduced local travel rate, with the rate reduced by $8.00. Candidates who have previously worked for this organization must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission. The assignment begins on 09/28/2026 and runs through 12/28/2026, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
