Job Summary
Interventional Radiology (IR) Registered Nurse (RN) Location not specified. This role involves supporting the IR department with patient care, verification of orders and consent, patient education, and assisting in various interventional procedures including port placements, biopsies, and neuro cases. The position requires rotating shifts and on-call responsibilities, with a focus on maintaining high-quality care in an acute care setting.
Job Details
- Position Description: Support the IR department by verifying orders and consent, performing head-to-toe assessments, patient education, setting up rooms, circulating cases, administering moderate sedation, assisting anesthesia providers, continuously monitoring hemodynamics, documenting care, and coordinating with the healthcare team.
- Required Qualifications: ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association) certifications; current compact or state RN license; minimum of 2 years cath lab experience with specific skills in IABP; experience with EMR systems such as Merge or Cerner; minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- Schedule: Four ten-hour shifts per week, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with rotating days off. The schedule may be considered as five eight-hour days from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Includes weeknight and weekend call rotations approximately every three weekdays and weekends, with a call response time of 30 minutes.
- Additional Information: No float requirement. Orientation includes 2-3 full days of training/shadowing, followed by a buddy call system in the second week. Must note if previously employed by Marshfield, with a required end date at least six months prior to submission.
