Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Burlington, Vermont. This position involves working in a large, teaching facility with a focus on medical intensive care, including overflow neuro. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
Location: Burlington, Vermont
Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, Sunday through Saturday
Required Qualifications:
- Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Valid AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification prior to start date
- Prior travel experience is required
- A minimum of 2 years of ICU unit experience
- Experience working in large, teaching healthcare facilities
- Proficiency in starting IVs, maintaining and managing multiple titrating drips, critical ventilator care, and handling multi-system diseases, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), Inferior Vena Cava Arteriovenous Fistula (IAPB), Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), COVID-19, vents, and multiple drips
- Epic electronic medical record (EMR) experience within the past 2 years (required)
Preferred Qualifications:
- CCRN certification is preferred
Additional Information:
- This assignment begins on July 13, 2026, for 10 weeks.
- Bi-weekly orientation sessions are scheduled on Mondays, with the next one on July 27.
- All employment gaps exceeding 90 days must be explained.
- Complete all work history information (bed count, EMR, facility type, etc.) to submit.
- Vehicles are strongly recommended as public transportation is not accessible; all-season or snow tires are advised from November through April.
