Job Summary

The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Nurse is located in a healthcare facility dedicated to patient critical care and trauma services. This role involves providing essential nursing care for adult patients with conditions such as trauma, cardiac issues, overdose/substance abuse, sepsis, stroke, and renal failure, among others. The position supports the organizations mission to deliver high-quality, compassionate critical care to diverse patient populations.

Job Details

• Position: ICU Nurse Intensive Care Unit


• Location: Within the organizations healthcare facility specializing in acute patient care


• Shift Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, typically from 0630 to 1830, with the possibility of night shifts from 1830 to 0630, including every other weekend coverage


• Schedule: 36 hours per week


• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale); minimum of 2 years of relevant experience


• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS


• Additional Responsibilities: Read/interpret EKG strips, troubleshoot ventilators and respiratory equipment, assist with titrating cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation, collaborate with healthcare support techs and nurse aides


• Float: Float rotation may be required, including to Progressive Care Units and Medical-Surgical units
