Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Peoria, Illinois. This position offers the opportunity to work in a Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department with a 65-bed capacity, providing care for a wide range of patients from newborns to the elderly. The role involves managing diverse cases, including critically ill patients, and requires proficiency in various critical care skills and certifications. Job Details Position Description: Provides advanced emergency care to patients in a busy Level 1 Trauma ER with patient ratios of 1:3-5, depending on acuity. The role involves caring for patients with diverse diagnoses including strokes, heart attacks, trauma, and critical illnesses, often requiring titration of multiple drips such as vasopressors and cardiac medications. Required Qualifications: Active Illinois nursing license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated, BLS, ACLS, ENPC or PALS, TNCC, valid drivers license, and the last four digits of the clinicians SSN, with at least 2 years of ER nursing experience, including prior travel experience preferred. Schedule: 12-hour night shifts with start times at 7 PM, 8 PM, or 9 PM, totaling a minimum of 48 hours per week. Additional Information: Candidates must have general nursing skills suitable for fast-paced emergency care, with experience managing critical patients, titrating drips, interpreting rhythms, and utilizing monitor systems such as Phillips monitors. The assignment begins on 09/14/2026 and ends on 03/15/2027, with occasional floating to assist other units as needed. No specific scrub color is required; professional, solid-colored scrubs are acceptable.
