This role involves providing patient care within a positve and supportive unit environment, supporting a diverse patient population with various medical and surgical diagnoses. Candidates are required to bring their valid nursing license on the first day of assignment. Job Details: Location: Concord, North Carolina Shift: Nights Minimum Hours Per Week: 36.0 hours Required Qualifications: 18 months of Medical Surgical with Telemetry (Med/Tele) Registered Nurse (RN) experience; valid Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications; Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Nursing; North Carolina RN license; 36+ weeks of recent Med/Tele RN experience; radius rule: traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with general post-surgical skillset including incision care, assessment, drains, chest tubes, wound vacs, mobility, education, trach care, NG tube insertion, use of braces/traction. Support within the Department: Includes CNA support (phlebotomy, ADL's, Foley insertion/removal, peripheral IV site removal), charge nurse indirect support, IV/Vital Access Team, mentorship, 24/7 respiratory therapy, hospitalist availability, remote telemetry monitoring, house supervisor support, patient safety attendants, behavioral response team, rapid response and code teams. Orientation: 2 days departmental and facility orientation. Scheduling: Every other weekend rotation; up to 6 days off approved for RTO; 6-week schedule cycle. Float: Float rotation may be required to all facilities within the region as needed, within scope of practice. Other notes: Scrub color is Navy; free parking in designated areas; positive and supportive unit culture. Additional Information: Travelers will work 75% of holidays.
