Cross Country Education is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate 1:1 School Nurse to be the critical support system for a high school student in the South Phoenix area (near Baseline/Laveen, AZ). Position Overview:
- Provide constant 1:1 specialized care for a high school student, managing and maintaining critical medical needs including tracheostomy care and airway management.
- Perform daily essential care tasks, including toileting, feeding, and safe patient transfers /repositioning for a wheelchair-bound student dependent on the nurse for mobility and positioning.
- Accurately complete and maintain daily detailed medical reports for both the student's parent (manual report) and the school administration (online report).
- Ride the bus daily with the student to and from their residence (if required, pending confirmation) to ensure safe transit and immediate medical support.
Qualifications:
- Valid Arizona Board of Nursing License (Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse) (Required)
- Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Current CPR and First Aid Certifications
- Prior experience in airway management/tracheostomy care and specialized medical support in a professional setting
