Position Overview
- Provide individualized 1:1 nursing support to students in elementary or middle school settings, promoting health, safety, and access to educational activities.
- Support students throughout the school day, including classroom participation, daily routines, and transportation-related needs as applicable.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and school staff to follow care plans, respond to student needs, and maintain a supportive learning environment.
- Maintain consistent attendance, communicate proactively with the educational team, and incorporate feedback to ensure attentive, reliable student care.
Qualifications
- Active Connecticut Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License
- Valid CPR, First Aid, and AED Certifications
- Valid Driver's License
- Experience or familiarity with school-based nursing, classroom routines, and supporting students in an educational setting preferred
