Position Overview:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy to a diverse student population (Pre-K through 8th grade) in both English and Spanish, ensuring equitable access to communication.
- Conduct evaluations and screenings to differentiate between language disorders and the natural process of second-language acquisition.
- Lead the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for bilingual students, collaborating with families and staff to set linguistically appropriate goals.
- Coordinate services across two campus locations, maintaining high standards for documentation, progress reporting, and state compliance.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist License and Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Native or near-native fluency in both English and Spanish (Required)
- Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting, with a strong understanding of bilingual language development
