Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Occupational Therapist Discipline: Therapy Start Date: 09/14/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Occupational Therapist Inpatient (OT IP) Location: Not specified. This role involves planning, organizing, developing, administering, directing, and supervising occupational therapy treatment in accordance with current standards, regulations, and guidelines. The position emphasizes patient and employee safety, interdisciplinary collaboration, discharge planning, and documentation accuracy to ensure quality patient care and team efficiency. Job Details Certifications, Education, and Experience: Must hold a valid, current State license; BLS certification required; minimum of 2 years of experience; previous inpatient acute care experience. Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Responsibilities: Assess patients level of functioning based on physician orders. Plan and implement individualized treatment programs. Participate in discharge planning, patient/family education, and adaptive equipment recommendations. Complete documentation according to Department policy and procedures. Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, students, and staff appropriately. Engage in interdisciplinary team process and quality improvement initiatives. Ensure safety and confidentiality throughout all patient care activities. Attend team conferences and discharge planning meetings. Perform additional duties as assigned.
