Job Summary:
Oklahoma city, Oklahoma The Nuclear Medicine Technologist (Internal Traveler) position involves performing diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures utilizing various radionuclides and radiation detection equipment. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. This role demands multidisciplinary skills to ensure accurate, timely, and safe patient examinations, with a focus on quality control, radiopharmaceutical handling, and effective communication.
Job Details:
Perform technical exams accurately and in a timely fashion.
Operate equipment, transfer patients to exam tables, and position patients correctly for procedures, ensuring safety.
Conduct and document quality control on all equipment to meet calibration and regulatory standards.
Prepare, administer, dispose of, and document radiopharmaceuticals, pharmaceuticals, oral contrast, and IV contrast under physician supervision, following protocols set by the Medical Director of the department.
Maintain accurate records of radioisotope shipping, receiving, use, storage, and disposal in compliance with NRC, DEQ, and SFHS policies.
Document room surveys, wipe tests, bioassays, and assist with quality attainment programs.
Schedule exams, verify physician written orders, and communicate with medical records.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of rooms and equipment.
Stock supplies and linens as needed.
Cross-train in other department technologies as required.
Exercise independent judgment in planning operations and decision-making.
Coordinate activities of others (without supervisory authority) and lead by example in task execution.
Interact directly with patients, internal, and external healthcare professionals and staff.
Required Qualifications:
Graduate from an AMA approved program in Nuclear Medicine Technology; CNMT (Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology) or ARRT (Nuclear Medicine) License; CPR certified; minimum six (6) months of related experience; at least 5 years travel experience; PET experience; proficiency with Siemens Equipment; experience with Epic; qualified candidates must bring their license on the first day.Schedule:

Candidates should have minimum 5 years travel experience, PET experience, Siemens Equipment knowledge, and proficiency with Epic. Good to have skills include GE Equipment.
